Our cost calculator automatically calculates the CO2 saving, which is dependent on the consumption, the chosen route and the number of passengers.
You can calculate the relative costs of the journey for passengers here.
The CO2 emission of a car, which uses an average of 8 litres per 100 km on a journey of 100 kilometres, is around 19.2 kg. The CO2 emission from two cars would be double that. However, if two of you share a journey (driver and passenger), one car will stay at home and you will save 19.2 kg damaging emissions.
